Sensoria | 2015
In Sensoria (Blue Room, Orange Room) | 2015 the viewer faces sensory overload where high stimulation is present, affecting sight, hearing, smell, and touch through color, sound, strong odors, and visceral substances. Each viewer enters the 9x12' rooms separately and are encouraged to interact in the spaces without instruction or prompting. By being alone in these environments viewers are not hindered from interacting with the objects and can have a singular experience without being observed by others. Within these rooms the experiential eclipses the intellectual. Viewers are not asked to critique what the room is implying, rather I am acting as an invisible instigator in order to direct the way the viewer feels within the space.
